The 2011 Tecate SCORE International Baja 500 kicks off on Friday June 3rd in Ensenada! So far almost 200 racers across the various classes of vehicles have signed on to participate in the race. The loop course will take racers on a 455 mile journey heading south out of Ensenada through Ojos Negros to Heroes de la Independencia, east to Laguna Salada, south to highway 3, west through Mike's Sky Ranch and up to Valle Trinidad then out to the coast north of Colonet. From there the racers will head north along the Pacific before turning inland at Santo Tomas and returning to the finish line in Ensenada. View the Baja 500 course map.
Last years overall winner Kendall Norman will be in the hunt for a repeat in the pro motorcycle class, and Andy McMillin will be going for a repeat in the ultra competitive SCORE trophy truck class.
